ACP – Appling County Pellets

ACP – Appling County Pellets review

relative new pellet producer ACP – Appling County Pellets creates great pellets. They produce different pellets than what I normally use. The diameter thickness is among the largest I have seen, and they claim 8mm. For a stove like a Whitfield that relies on air alone to clear out the spent ash from the burn pot, this larger pellet works very well.

There are virtually no clinkers with this pellet. However, they do produce a very significant amount of ash. It tends to be light, fluffy ash (which also adds to the excellent performance in my Whitfield). In terms of volume of ash, it is dramatically higher than any of the other pellets reviewed here. I was not too worried about the ash though because it was a very light, and clinkers were almost non-existent.

ACP – Appling County Pellets

This is a surprisingly good pellet, and a little outside the norm (large diameter). I would add they work particularly well in a Whitfield style stove, and if you can live with a lot more frequent ash removal, I can recommend this pellet.

*Update

We have switched stoves recently to a Harman P61 (best stove I have owned and I have owned many). The ACP pellets do not burn as well, no problem with clinkers but 4 times more ash as a real premium. These are not premium pellets; there is no PFI seal on them. They claim that they are, but from what I have observed, they produce likely over 3% ash. Ten bags fill the P61 ash pan.

Fram was created in 2005 with a vision of becoming a significant, reliable and sustainable provider of wood pellets into the developing European industrial industry. As one of the first big-scale manufacturers from the U.S. Southeast, we’ve got expertise in raw material sourcing, pellet manufacturing, quality management and logistics. As wood pellet need in Europe continues to grow, we recognize and appreciate building mutually beneficial relationships with businesses that share our vision of growth.

Is there a difference in wood pellets?

With every passing season, Fram targets more consistent, efficient and exceptional creation of industrial-grade wood pellets. Since before the conclusion of the first wood pellet mill (Appling County Pellets, LLC) Fram has worked tirelessly to boost our pellet manufacturing process during an investigation, trial and error, and cooperation with industry specialists. With need forecasted at over 40 million tons by 2020, Fram is set to grow exponentially through reputable connections with all our industrial wood pellet clients.

In the last several decades, Fram has acknowledged the rising EU residential marketplace as a fantastic chance for diversification within our business portfolio. The tremendous benefits of using wood pellets for home heating system are being recognized throughout the world. Fram currently generates roughly 120,000 metric tons of EN Plus A1 wood pellets, together with strategies to rise as the market permits.

Our Conclusion

Speaking as a Trader, these are a terrific pellet. As a result of deficit last year we tried a range of different manufacturers with minimal if any success. Before picking this up the particular wood pellet, the mill did inform us they had any quality problems before, but have since then caused a complete-time quality staff to ensure consistencies.

We burnt them at our showroom on Napoleon, Harman and Lopi stoves and they worked great. In reality, it’s all we burn off today. It’s 70% tender and 30% dense forests that’s another mix from what they had previously, and you could also observe the BTU output signal is a considerably higher, up from 8200.

Ash material is a bit higher than an excellent hardwood pellet, but maybe not by far. For all those of you who had a poor experience, I’d strongly suggest giving them a moment go, and I believe that you’ll be delighted with the outcomes. We’ve had our clients that burnt them ask them for our ancient purchase. Long and short of this great pellet at a premium cost.

ACP – Appling County Pellets review

As the year moves on, I’d like to hear your input. Fantastic luck to all about the upcoming season and stay warm! Are the evaluation results and titles of this”independent third-party testing lab” published somewhere? Since the pellets had such a poor reputation, it is to the advantage of APL, and their company outlets like to demonstrate the issues are solved.

We also notice that you personally in Pennsylvania market Harman stoves and the Harman trader in New Hampshire I purchased my stove from now sells APL. I wonder whether there’s a relationship or merely coincidence in ACP – Appling County Pellets?

I must make it crystal clear that I am not in the company and I have taken delivery of my pellets for this particular season. There is so much of this Wild West or even free-for-all within this pellet market I believe it is entertaining to see. Nevertheless, I also notice how you’ve made substantially the same remark in a couple of individual articles, which is OK to perform.
