soft pellet review

Soft Pellet sampler review

We supply our semi automatic pellet raw materials in softwood residues from sawmills and other softwood processing. Softwood includes a lower density compared to hardwood in its initial shape, so it burns faster at a high temperature. But this changes when the soft pellet is densified to a wood shredder and has exactly the exact same density for a hardwood shredder. The biggest difference includes all the excess lignin in softwood pellets create them burn more than wood, meaning manufacturing quality really determines what you will escape your pellets. It isn’t determined depending on the wood species.

When you purchase our softwood pellets, then you can depend on the Energex Standards. We pride ourselves in producing pellets which doesn’t only fulfill the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) Standards Program but also exceed it. All of Energex softwood pellets stem out of our Lac-Megantic, Quebec centre and toaster stoves in New England, along with other areas of the Northeast.

If you’re interested in finding something which burns hotter and cleaner than their mixture and are cost cautious than that is the thing to do! This product unlike the majority of my other softwoods is composed of walnut, walnut & hemlock. Contrary to a wood stove with pellets, softwoods have a tendency to burn hotter which permits the item to burn cleaner.0

TYPES OF SOFTWOOD PELLETS

Want to turn the Heat up?

Softwood timber pellets burn more than hardwood pellets, making them suitable for heating up colder houses. Pick from two kinds of softwood pellets:

Premium Softwood Blend:

The best of both worlds. Our combination of 60 percent Nominal and 40% hardwood creates a pellet with a greater BTU output and lower ash content. Energex Premium Softwood Blend pellets contain a ash content between 0.5% and 0.6 percent. However, they create over 8700 BTUs per pound, so permitting you to remain warm without excessive ash.

100% Softwood Premium:

We developed our 100% Nominal pellets in response to overwhelming customer need, and they do not disappoint. These top notch pellets burn hotter and cleaner than the Premium Softwood Blend pellets. Appreciate over 8900 BTUs for each and every pound and less than 0.5% ash.

Our softwood pellets come in our center at Lac-Mégantic, Quebec among the earliest wood pellet plants in North America. Energy giant Shell Oil Company constructed the center in 1980 and has been bought by Energex in 1993. When you purchase Energex softwood pellets, then you see for yourself why experience matters.

Features of Softwood Pellet

Softwood Pellet is known for

  • Burning hotter initially
  • Easy to light
  • Having more pitch or sap
  • More sparks
  • Sound as it burns
  • Burns up more quickly

Softwood Pellet, (in its normal condition ) will burn off considerably dirtier than hardwood. That is accurate but here is the reason. For those who have ever noticed a pine tree, then you will observe the sap, or pitch, then oozing in areas where the bark was scraped or a branch has broken off. This pitch, once burnt, will produce a great deal of creosote and the burn will probably be quite dirty. But understand this pitch just exists in the outer living coating of bark on tree. A fantastic clean softwood pellet will seem fine and pristine, nearly blonde in colour. There ought to not be any bark in these and consequently, no pitch. Accordingly, unlike firewood at a wood-stove, softwood pellets are going to have the exact same high density as wood pellets and also will burn as blank as hardwood pellets when the bark has been removed.

That is not to mention all softwood pellets are excellent, nor are hardwood pellets terrific. Truth is, there are a few fantastic wood pellets out there there and also there are a number of bad wood pellets out there too. And in precisely the exact same time, there are a few fantastic soft out there there and also there are a number of lousy soft pellet on the market too. What I’m really trying to highlight here is that if a wood shredder is constructed from hardwood sawdust or softwood sawdust will not have any bearing or influence on the quality of the particular wood pellet. What actually matters is how wash the raw materials are all that constitute that pellet and just how low the moisture content is- that is this huge difference!

Soft pellet really have 10-20% more BTU percent than hardwood pellets since softwoods possess resins in them which have a higher heating value than wood fiber.

As you might know if you read other articles on this site, we’re lovers of gentle pellet. We picked up several distinct manufacturers of soft pellets and also are in the process of reviewing them. Within the upcoming several week we’ll be adding several new reviews.
